Anchor Recovery Ranch is situated on a working farm and we suggest that you pack durable, hardwearing clothing, shoes, boots and jackets to make your stay comfortable.

Clothing:

  • 10x T-shirts/Vests
  • 4x Pairs shorts
  • 5x Long pants (jeans, cargo)
  • 5x Warm, long sleeved tops
  • 1x Rain coat
  • Warm pyjamas for winter
  • Warm jacket for winter
  • Underwear & Socks
  • Beanie and gloves

Shoes:

  • Sandals or slops 2x if possible
  • Takkies- for sport and work
  • Boots (gum boots)

Toiletries:

  • Toothpaste & Toothbrush
  • Soap, Face cloth & Shampoo
  • Roll-on
  • Shaving Equipment
  • Sunscreen

Bedding:

  • 2x fitted single sheets
  • 1 x pillows
  • 2 x pillow cases
  • 1 x duvet or blanket
  • 1 x warm blanket for winter

NB: No spray-on deodorants allowed. Mouthwash is permitted only on condition it is alcohol free.

Other items:

  • Small tool box or lockable box for storage of tuck shop/personal items with padlock – a small toolbox will do as well; to store coffee, tea, sugar etc…
  • Torch – head lamp is best
  • Laundry Bag
  • Working gloves2x Towels
  • Water bottle
  • Hat or Cap for the sun
  • Bible
  • Durable coffee mug
  • Bowl for personal use
  • Linen x 2 single sheets, 2 x pillow cases, duvet, duvet cover, warm blanket, 1 x pillow.

What not to bring:

  • Please resist packing excessive amounts of baggage, books
  • You will not need excess toiletries, wallets or cell phones
  • No walkmans, MP3 Players and iPods allowed. Music may be played on portable radios.
  • No products containing alcohol allowed (alcohol-free mouthwash allowed)
  • We reserve the right to confiscate any items or material deemed inappropriate. All these items will be locked away until the departure date
  • NO raw tobacco products are allowed i.e. rolling tobacco, pipes, chewing tobacco and rizlas are not permitted.
